The Vision of the Municipal Planning and Development Office is anchored on the Philosophy that “People are the end and means of growth and development.” With this manifestation, the office will uphold and pursue best and sustainable practices in local planning and development to attain genuine socio-economic progress political stability and moral transformation for the lasting benefit of the people.
The mission of the Municipal Planning and Development Office is to provide proper direction of the municipality through effective local planning and development, collaborative action and unity and widespread good governance where plans, programs and projects to be identified and prioritized will generate a prosperous and vibrant climate receptive to long term socio-economic growth and development in the municipality amidst rapid change.
1. Formulate integrated economic, social, physical and other development plans for consideration
of the local government development council.
2. Conducting continuing studies, researches and training programs necessary to involved plans
and program for implementation.
3. Integrate and coordinate all sectoral plans undertaken by the different functional group or
4. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the different development programs, projects and
activities in the local government unit concerned in accordance with approved development
5. Analyze the income and expenditure patterns and formulate, commend fiscal plans and policies
for consideration of the finance committee of the local government unit as provided under title
Book II of this code.
6. Promote people participation in development planning within the local government unit
7. Exercise supervision and control over the secretariat Development Council and;
8. Exercise such other duties and function, powers as maybe prescribed by law ordinance.
|Programs and Projects
Community Based Monitoring System Accelerated Poverty Profiling (CBMS App)
The LGU- Benito Soliven, Isabela in partnership with the Department of Interior and Local Governance (DILG) and CBMS International Network Coordinating Team of the Angelo King Institute of the De La Salle University has entered into a MOA for the implementation of the CBMS App Project in the municipality.
The project aims to provide policymakers and program implementers with a regular source of necessary disaggregated data such as determining the nature and extent of poverty, identifying eligible beneficiaries for targeted programs and formulating appropriate policies and programs.
With the need to fast track the generation of CBMS census results the LGU opted for the CBMS Accelerated Poverty Profiling using CBMS softwares provided by the Angelo King Institute and Tablets acquired by the local government unit.
