Municipal Health Officer
1. Attends to the administration and management of the health services;
2. Serves as clinician of the unit;
3. Provides epidemiological and environmental health services to the community;
4. Ensures continuing health education of his/her staff;
5. Evaluates the program of health activities under implementation against standard/schedule and
submit periodic reports to the Provincial Health Office.
Municipal Government Assistant Department Head 1
1. Makes oral and radiographic examination of the oral cavity and diagnosis of irregular condition.
2. Performs restoration of simple and compound cavities, performs simple and uncomplicated multiple
extractions of the teeth, throat, mouth and gum infections and does related work.
3. To assist on supervision of personnel and staff of the office, help on the implementation of rules and
guidelines regulation for the operation of the said office duly approved by the Local Chief Executive.
4. Help on the formulation, development of strategies on programs, projects of the office and
implementation
upon approval thereof by the LCE as the case maybe the head of office.
5. Execute all laws ordinance and regulations relating to public health in the absence of the MHO and
upon approval by the LCE.
6. In the absence of the MHO, recommend to the Local legislative through Local Health Board the
passage of such ordinance as may deem necessary for the preservation of public health.
7. In the absence of the MHO, she is in the frontline of the delivery of health services, particularly in
the aftermath of man-made natural disasters.
8. Exercise such other duties and functions s maybe prescribed by law or ordinance.
